Shanghai Links Litigation Chronology
There is a great deal of confusion about Shanghai Links’ litigation. The result is well known: The Pudong Development Corporation (PUFA), a company under the control of the Shanghai Pudong New Area Government, is now the Owner of both Shanghai Links Executive Community and Shanghai Links Golf and Country Club. It is important to note that Huaxia Tourism Development Corporation (Huaxia), another company under the control of the Shanghai Pudong New Area Government, was the original Joint Venture partner in the Shanghai Links Golf and Country Club. Moreover, the other substantial shareholder in Huaxia, the Shanghai Branch of the State Water Bureau, was the Contractor for the reclamation of land that was eventually morphed in to the Shanghai Links projects.
